Frequently Asked Questions

How does this Palworld breeding calculator work?

Select two parents for the predicted child, or use reverse mode to find parent pairs for a chosen offspring.

What are Palworld special breeding combos?

Fixed parent pairs that always produce a specific Pal, ignoring breeding power.

Do I need a male and female Pal?

Yes. Standard breeding requires one male and one female at the Breeding Farm with cake supplied.

Can I breed every Pal?

Most Paldeck entries can be bred; some boss-only Pals cannot be obtained through normal breeding.

Why might results differ in-game?

Game updates change breeding values. Special combos are always exact.

Is this Palworld breeding calculator updated for 1.0?

Yes. The Pal database and breeding combinations reflect the version 1.0 roster, including Pals added on July 10, 2026. If you are checking a route you remember from before 1.0, search it again here first.

How do I find the child of two specific Pals?

Select your two parent Pals in the calculator above and the result appears automatically. Parent order does not matter — the same two Pals always produce the same child.

How do I find parent combinations for a Pal I want?

Use the reverse lookup below the main calculator. Choose your target Pal and we will show every parent pair that can produce it, filterable by element, rarity, and how easy the parents are to catch.

Palworld Breeding Calculator (Updated for 1.0.4)

This Palworld breeding calculator shows you the exact pair of Pals needed to hatch any Pal in the game. You can also check what a pair you already own will produce. The data below is checked against the official Palworld 1.0.4 patch, released September 7, 2026, and covers all 287 Pals currently in the game.

How to use this calculator

Pick your goal. Use “Find Offspring” if you already have two Pals and want to know what they produce. Use “Find Parents” if you want a specific Pal and need to know which two Pals to pair.
Select both Pals from the dropdown menus, or type the target Pal’s name into the search box.
Read the result. The tool lists every valid combination, not just one option, so you can pick a pair based on Pals you already own.
Check the passive skill notes below the result if you’re breeding for a specific build, not just a specific species.

How breeding works in Palworld

Every Pal has a hidden number called a breeding rank. When you pair two Pals in a Breeding Farm, the game averages their two ranks together. That average number points to a species on a fixed list, sorted from lowest breeding rank to highest. The result is always the same for the same two parents. It is not random. Only the passive skills and stats on the resulting egg involve chance.

This is why a calculator works so well for planning. Since the species outcome is fixed, you can look up any target Pal and know exactly which pair to use before you spend a single cake.

Passive skills change what breeding is really for

Getting the right species is only step one. Most experienced players breed for passive skills, not just the Pal itself. A Pal can carry up to four passive skills at once. When two parents breed, the child pulls from the combined pool of both parents’ passives, plus a small chance of a new random one.

This means the real strategy is keeping your parent Pals loaded with only the passives you want before you pair them. Fewer unwanted passives in the pool means better odds on the child. Our Passive Skill Build Planner walks through this process pair by pair if you want to plan a specific build, like a fast mount or a heavy hitter for raids.

How long breeding takes

Two things happen before you get a finished Pal: mating, then hatching.

Mating takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the Pals involved. Once the egg appears, it needs to hatch in an incubator. On Normal difficulty, a large egg takes about two hours. On Hard difficulty, the same egg can take up to 72 real world hours. Casual mode hatches eggs instantly. Server owners can adjust this directly through the PalEggDefaultHatchingTime setting

If you’re trying to hatch many eggs at once, the real limit isn’t the timer on one egg. It’s how many Breeding Farms and incubators you’re running side by side.

Popular breeding combinations

Jetragon. One of the most requested Pals for its speed and flight combo. Check the calculator above for current valid parent pairs.

Frostallion. A boss exclusive Pal with strong ice passives. Breeding is the only way to get certain variants like Frostallion Noct.

Anubis. A strong ground unit favored for base defense builds. Multiple parent combinations exist depending on what stats you’re prioritizing.

Relaxaurus. Common early breeding target thanks to its natural Glutton passive and easy access to its parent species.

Vanwyrm. Frequently used as a stepping stone Pal in longer breeding chains toward higher tier targets.

Mossanda. A reliable early to mid game combat Pal with a straightforward two step breeding path.

Why this data can be trusted

Old breeding guides from 2024 and early 2025 often list numbers that no longer match the game. The 1.0 update in July 2026 and the 1.0.4 patch in September 2026 changed several passive skill values and added new Pals. This calculator’s dataset is rebuilt against each patch, not left untouched after launch.

What is the Palworld breeding calculator?

It’s a tool that tells you which two Pals to pair to produce a specific target Pal, or shows every possible offspring from a pair you already own

How does the Palworld breeding calculator work?

You either pick two parent Pals to see the result, or pick a target Pal to see every combination that can produce it. The tool checks each Pal’s breeding rank to find the match.

How does Palworld calculate breeding?

The game averages the breeding rank of both parents, then matches that number to a fixed species list. Two specific parents will always produce the same species.

How long does it take to breed eggs in Palworld?

Mating takes minutes to hours. Hatching adds roughly two hours on Normal difficulty or up to 72 hours on Hard, unless you adjust the server setting.

How do I maximize breeding in Palworld?

Keep multiple Breeding Farms stocked with cake, use a Pal with the Philanthropist passive to speed up mating, and load both parents with only the passives you want before pairing them.

What’s the difference between breed and breeding?

Breed is the single action of pairing two Pals to make one egg. Breeding is the overall process, including farms, passives, and repeated pairing, used to reach a specific goal.
