Palworld 1.0 Release Date — July 10 2026

Palworld 1.0 Release Date Confirmed — Xbox One, PS5 and PC Launch July 10 2026

After more than two years in early access, Palworld is finally getting its full release. Developer Pocketpair announced at Summer Game Fest 2026 that Palworld 1.0 release date is July 10, 2026 — and it is coming to every platform at the same time. If you have been waiting to jump in, or you are a returning player wondering what has changed, here is everything you need to know before launch day.

When does Palworld 1.0 launch?

Palworld 1.0 Release date is Thursday, July 10, 2026. Pocketpair confirmed the date at Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026, alongside a brand new cinematic trailer. This marks the official end of the game’s early access period, which began on January 19, 2024.

Pocketpair has not confirmed an exact launch time yet. We will update this post as soon as the unlock time is announced. Check back closer to Palworld 1.0 release date July 10 or follow the official Palworld social channels for the precise time in your region.

Which platforms is Palworld 1.0 coming to?

Palworld 1.0 launches simultaneously on all available platforms with no staggered release.

Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S

Xbox was one of Palworld’s original platforms from day one of early access in January 2024. Both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S are confirmed for the 1.0 launch on July 10. If you already own the game on Xbox, the 1.0 update arrives automatically at no extra charge.

Xbox Series X/S players will benefit from the additional hardware power for the expanded map and new regions, but Xbox One is fully supported.

PlayStation 5

PS5 joined Palworld in September 2024 during early access. The 1.0 update arrives for PS5 players on the same day as Xbox and PC — July 10 — making this the first time all three console platforms receive a major Palworld update simultaneously.

PC — Steam and Microsoft Store

PC players on both Steam and the Microsoft Store get version 1.0 on July 10. Steam is currently running a 25% discount on Palworld ahead of launch, bringing the price down from $29.99 to approximately $22.49. Steam has also warned that the price may increase at or around the full release date, so if you have been on the fence, buying before July 10 is the smarter move.

Xbox Game Pass

Palworld has been available on Xbox Game Pass since its early access launch in January 2024, and it remains listed on the service as of June 2026. Microsoft confirmed it was the most-played third-party release in Xbox Game Pass history, peaking at nearly three million daily active players on Xbox alone. Pocketpair has not made a separate announcement about Game Pass status post-1.0, but all indications point to it remaining on the service.

What is new in Palworld 1.0?

Pocketpair is calling 1.0 the biggest update in the game’s history. The full patch notes are still under wraps — labelled “Top Secret” by the studio — but here is everything confirmed so far.

World Tree region finally opens

The most anticipated addition in 1.0 is access to the World Tree. Since launch in January 2024, the giant glowing tree has been visible on the northwest horizon of the Palpagos map, blocked off by an impassable red barrier. On July 10, that barrier finally comes down.

The World Tree is expected to serve as the game’s primary endgame zone, with high-level enemies, powerful bosses, hidden lore about the origins of Pals, and the final story missions that reveal the truth behind the Palpagos Islands. Communications director John “Bucky” Buckley put it simply: “Get ready to finally figure out what is going on with that big tree.”

A second major island is also confirmed alongside the World Tree region, with early estimates suggesting the playable landmass will roughly double compared to the original 2024 launch.

New Pals — the biggest drop ever

Pocketpair has confirmed that 1.0 will feature more new Pals than any previous update. Several designs have already been revealed or teased, including a Fire Dragon that guards the World Tree entrance, a Sword Eel that the player can literally wield as a blade, a Martial Arts Panda, a massive Sky Dragon tied to the new Sky Islands, a cat-like jester Pal named Dupin, and a colossal Whale Pal shown heading toward the World Tree. A towering tentacled creature shown at the end of the reveal trailer is widely expected to be the final boss or endgame guardian.

Genetic Recombination — a brand new breeding system

One of the biggest gameplay additions in 1.0 is Genetic Recombination, a new breeding mechanic that lets players fuse genes from high-level Legendary Pals to create unique variant Pals that inherit specific traits. This is entirely separate from the standard breeding system and adds a new layer of strategy for players who want to optimise their Pal teams.

Results from Genetic Recombination vary based on server settings, which means the best combinations will differ between single-player and multiplayer worlds. For a complete explanation of how the new system works and how to use it, see our dedicated guide: Palworld 1.0 Breeding Changes — Genetic Recombination Explained →]

Doubled map size and Sky Islands

Beyond the World Tree, 1.0 adds Sky Islands — a vertical region built for elevation-based exploration with new Pals, new enemies, and new rewards. Combined with the World Tree region and the second major island, the total playable map in 1.0 is significantly larger than anything seen during early access.

New weapons, armour and the Wing Pack

The reveal trailer confirmed new weapons and armour arriving with 1.0. Most notably, a Wing Pack was shown allowing players to fly freely — a major traversal upgrade that will make exploring the larger map and Sky Islands far more practical.

Will Palworld increase in price for 1.0?

Steam has issued a warning that the price of Palworld may increase at or near the full release date. The current standard price is $29.99 USD. A 25% discount is active now, bringing it down to approximately $22.49. If you are planning to buy, purchasing before July 10 is the safe option to lock in the current price.

For players who already own the game, 1.0 is a free update — no additional purchase required on any platform.

Does your save data carry over to 1.0?

Yes. Pocketpair has confirmed that existing save data will carry over to version 1.0. Your Pals, bases, items, and progress will all be preserved. However, Pocketpair has softly recommended starting a fresh save to experience the full 1.0 journey from the beginning, as many changes affect early-game systems and progression.

If you want to keep your existing save, you can do so safely. The advice to start fresh is a recommendation, not a requirement.

Prepare your breeding team before July 10

With new Pals, a new breeding system, and the World Tree bringing some of the most powerful creatures in the game, having a strong breeding foundation before July 10 will give you a head start on day one.

Use our Palworld Breeding Calculator to plan your Pal combinations now. You can use the forward calculator to predict offspring from any two parents, or the reverse lookup to find every valid parent combination for the specific Pal you want. The calculator also shows special fusion combos — fixed parent pairs that always produce a specific offspring regardless of breeding power.

Once the 1.0 patch notes confirm breeding power values for the new Pals, we will update the calculator with all new combinations.

Is Palworld 1.0 a free update?

Yes. If you already own Palworld on any platform, version 1.0 is a free update. You do not need to purchase anything extra.

What time does Palworld 1.0 release?

Pocketpair has not confirmed an exact unlock time. We will update this article the moment when plaworld 1.0 release date will be near to 10 july . Check the official Palworld Steam page and social channels for the latest.

Is Palworld 1.0 on Xbox One Game Pass?

Palworld remains listed on Xbox Game Pass as of June 2026. Pocketpair has not announced any change to its Game Pass availability for the 1.0 launch. Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One should be able to play 1.0 on July 10 at no extra cost, subject to any changes Pocketpair or Microsoft announce before launch

Will there be more content after 1.0?

Pocketpair has confirmed that 1.0 is not the end of Palworld. Studio communications lead John “Bucky” Buckley has said he would not rule out a Palworld 2.0, and the team has mentioned ongoing plans for post-launch content. An underwater biome has been ruled out, but the roadmap beyond 1.0 has not been fully revealed.

Is crossplay available in Palworld 1.0?

Yes. Crossplay between Xbox, PS5, and PC was added in March 2025 with update 0.5.0. It remains available in 1.0, meaning players on different platforms can join the same servers.
