How this works (mechanics & data notes)

Child = the ordinary-pool Pal whose CombiRank is closest to the rounded-up average of the parents’ ranks (ties by internal order). Fixed special combinations (164 in the 1.0 game files, plus a few community-documented classics) override the formula; same-species parents always breed true. The Katress × Wixen pair is gender-dependent. Catch-only Pals (legendaries etc.) must be caught first.

Data: 297 breedable Pals and special combos from the public 1.0 game-files dataset at palworldonline.net (free to use, attribution appreciated) with community-documented additions. The official Paldeck roster is 287 — the extra entries are collaboration/event Pals that can still use the Breeding Farm. Verify valuable combos in-game; patches can shift values.

      Example: reading a breeding map

      Faleris

Faleris has exactly one special parent pair: Vanwyrm × Anubis. Breeding Faleris with itself (Faleris × Faleris) also produces Faleris, as same-species pairs always breed true. Use the map above to see every Pal that Faleris can breed into.

      Katress × Wixen (gender-dependent)

This pair is gender-dependent: male Katress × female Wixen produces Wixen Noct, while female Katress × male Wixen produces Katress Ignis. The map shows both outcomes.

      Breeding Map FAQ

What does the Palworld Breeding Map show?

For any Pal you pick, it maps every parent pair that can produce it and every unique Pal it can breed into, with special story combos highlighted. Click any node to re-center the map on that Pal.

What do the SPECIAL and SAME badges mean?

SPECIAL marks fixed story combos that override the breeding formula, for example Vanwyrm × Anubis → Faleris. SAME means breeding a Pal with its own species always produces that same Pal.

How do I breed Faleris in Palworld?

Breed Vanwyrm × Anubis. It is a special combo that always produces Faleris, and it is the only non-same-species parent pair for Faleris in Palworld 1.0.

Why does Katress × Wixen have two results?

It is a gender-dependent pair. Male Katress with female Wixen produces Wixen Noct, while female Katress with male Wixen produces Katress Ignis. Check parent genders before breeding.

Why do some Pals have so many parent pairs?

Ordinary formula pairs follow the CombiRank average, so many mid-rank combinations converge on the same child. Pals produced by special combos typically have just one or two parent pairs.

What data does the breeding map use?

297 breedable Pals, CombiRank values, and 164 special combos from the public Palworld 1.0 game-files dataset, plus 7 community-documented classic combos. The official Paldeck roster is 287 — the extra entries are collaboration and event Pals that can still use the Breeding Farm.
